Transaction in own shares

The Sage Group plc ("Sage") announces that on 14 November 2013 it purchased 95,000 of its ordinary shares of 1⁴/₇₇p each through Citigroup Global Markets at an average price of 349.07 pence per share. The highest and lowest prices paid for these shares were 350.00 pence per share and 348.00 pence per share respectively. The purchased shares will all be held as treasury shares.

Following the above purchase, Sage holds 16,540,606 ordinary shares as treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares held as treasury shares) is 1,097,669,247.

The total number of voting rights in Sage, excluding treasury shares, as at 14 November 2013 is 1,097,669,247. This figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Sage under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
