Sage considers offer for Softline Limited

Sage announces that it is considering making an offer to acquire Softline
Limited, a leading South African and Australian developer and supplier of
accounting and taxation software applications for small and medium-sized
businesses, for a total consideration of not less than £55 million*. In line
with South African regulations, Softline Limited has today made a similar
announcement.
