DIRECTORS' SHAREHOLDINGS

The Company has been informed that Paul Stobart, Chief Operating Officer, today
exercised options over 457,410 Ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company under
The Sage Group (No. 2) Executive Share Option Scheme, at an exercise price of
43.2p per share.

Mr Stobart subsequently sold 457,410 Ordinary shares of 1p each at a price of
194.15p per share.
