S&U PLC  -  BOARD APPOINTMENT

Consumer credit and vehicle finance group S&U PLC are very pleased to announce
the appointment of Christopher Redford, ACA, aged 38, to the Board as Financial
Director and Company Secretary with effect from 1st March 2004.
