Real Time Control Plc ('RTC' or the 'Company')

The Board of RTC has noted the recent increase in the share price of the
Company.  The Company, as part of its ongoing strategy and as noted in the
results announcement of 2 June 1999, continues to explore the formation of
strategic alliances with industry partners; discussions in this regard are at
a very preliminary stage.  Any agreement on the formation of an alliance could
include an investment in, or possible offer for, shares of the Company.  There
is no certainty that any alliance or offer will develop from these
discussions.

A further announcement will be made in due course.
