ATA Group plc ('the Company') announces that on 18 May 2005 Andrew Bailey, a
director of the Company, bought 11,000 ordinary shares in the capital Company at
a price of 97.5 pence per share.  Following this purchase, Andrew Bailey is now
interested in 21,000 ordinary shares, representing 0.2% of the Company's issued
share capital.
