September 22nd September 2005 (dated 21st September 2005) in accordance with
Section 198 of the Companies Act that Franklin Resources, Inc. and its
affiliates on behalf of clients (detailed below), had an interest in 27,564,974
Ordinary shares of Electrocomponents PLC representing a total of 6.33% of the
total issued share capital of the Company, which now represents a notifiable
