The Company received notification on 30th July 2001 in accordance with the
Companies Act 1985 (as amended) that Schroder Investment Management Limited
and their subsidiary and affiliated companies have a notifiable interest in
51,890,181 Ordinary Shares of 10p each of the Company ('Shares') which
represents 11.948% of the total issued share capital of the Company.
