The Company has been informed that on 5 September 2002 Mr TG Barker, a
Non-Executive Director of the Company, acquired 4,000 ordinary shares of 10p in
the Company.



The shares were acquired at a price of 278p.



Mr Barker now holds 11,000 shares in the Company, which represents less than
0.1% of the issued share capital.
