The Company was advised today that Mr R A Lawson a Director of the Company has
transferred 80,432 ordinary shares of 10 p each in Electrocomponents plc to
his wife Diana Marian Lawson for nil consideration as at the 18th September
2000.
Mr Lawson remains the beneficial holder of a total of 306,860 shares.
