 On bargain date 25 March 2004 1,249 ( one thousand two hundred and forty nine )
9.5% cumulative preference shares of £1 each were bought in for cancellation at
a price per share of £1.73 leaving a residue still in issue of  48,988 such
shares.The Company will continue to purchase for cancellation remaining shares
in this class as they become avaiable.
