The 17 for 2 rights issue of 50,233,402 ordinary shares of 5
pence each ('Rights Shares') at 5.5 pence per Rights Share
closed at 3.00 p.m. on Tuesday, 18 April 2000. 29,135,708
Rights Shares were taken up by shareholders of the Company
which represents an aggregate take up of 58 per cent.
