                           Change of Accounting Date



Ross Group PLC ('the Company') has changed its accounting date to 31 December,
effective immediately.


The Company's current year end is 30 June. The board believes a change to
December is more suited to the nature of the Group's business.


It also aligns the Company's accounting period with its major investor, Grande
Holdings Limited, whose year end is 31 December.


Accordingly, the first interim accounts for the Company will be for the 6 months
to 31 December 2001; there will be a second interim period to 30 June 2002, and
then an 18 month full report to the new year end of 31 December 2002.
