ROLLS-ROYCE TRENT 700 ENGINES WORTH $300M SELECTED BY TURKISH AIRLINES

Rolls-Royce has been selected by Turkish Airlines to supply Trent 700 engines and long-term TotalCare® service support, worth $300 million, to power four Airbus A330 freighter aircraft.

The airline already operates 11 A330ceo passenger and five A330 freighter aircraft powered by the Trent 700.

Dominic Horwood, Rolls-Royce, Chief Customer Officer - Civil Large Engines, said: "This is further demonstration of the market's continued demand for both the A330 and the Trent 700. We are proud that Turkish Airlines has continued to demonstrate its confidence in the Trent 700's ability to deliver outstanding economic performance."

The Trent 700 delivers the best fuel burn, emissions and noise performance, resulting in market leadership on the aircraft. The engine has won more than 60 per cent of new orders over the last three years and accounts for a similar percentage on future A330ceo deliveries. In the A330 freighter market, the Trent 700 now accounts for 90 per cent of aircraft in service and on order.

More than 1,500 Trent 700s are now in service or on firm order, making it the largest in-service Trent engine.

TotalCare® agreements minimise customer financial risk and enhance operational performance and reliability, allowing operators to concentrate on their core business.
