Rolls-Royce PLC 13 March 2002 13 March 2002 ROLLS-ROYCE WINS $60M GREEK MILITARY ENGINE ORDER Rolls-Royce today announced it will provide 24 to 30 AE 2100 engines worth an estimated $60 million, including spares and initial provisioning, for 12 to 15 Alenia-Lockheed Martin twin-engined C-27J Spartan transport aircraft for the Greek Armed Forces. The 4637 shp Rolls-Royce engines are designed and produced at the Rolls-Royce facilities in Indianapolis, Indiana, U.S. They are close derivatives of the engines powering the Lockheed Martin C-130J , being introduced into service in the U.S., UK, and Australia.
