ROLLS-ROYCE PLC 12 October 1999 ROLLS-ROYCE WINS $45M EXECUTIVE JET MAINTENANCE CONTRACT Rolls-Royce plc announced today the signing of a 15-year contract worth around US$45 million with Executive Jet for the maintenance of BMW Rolls-Royce BR710 engines powering its NetJets fleet of Gulfstream V twin-engined aircraft. The agreement, which is based on a fixed price per flying hour per engine, covers all shop maintenance of the engines by the Rolls-Royce facility in Montreal. Executive Jet takes delivery of its first Gulfstream Vs in October 2000. Rolls-Royce is a recognised leader in the repair and overhaul of aero engines. Its 520,000 square foot facility in Montreal is equipped with the latest diagnostic, test and repair technology in the industry. Five test cells are available, with a sixth one due to be operational by February 2000. Executive Jet, through its NetJets fractional ownership programme offers fractional shares in business aircraft including various models of Cessna Citations, Raytheon Hawkers, the Dassault Falcon 2000, the Gulfstream IV-SP, Gulfstream V and the Boeing Business Jet. This allows an individual or company all the convenience of owning a business jet at a fraction of the cost. Fractional owners have guaranteed use of their aircraft 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with just a few hours advance notice.
