ROLLS-ROYCE WINS AIR 2000 AERO-ENGINE ORDER
Rolls-Royce today (7 March 2001) announced new RB211-535 engine business
potentially worth $125 million with UK leisure airline Air 2000 to power is
fleet renewal order of up to eight Boeing 757s.
Four of the aircraft will be taken on operating lease from New York's CIT
Aerospace group with deliveries scheduled to begin in Spring 2003. Air 2000
has options on the other aircraft which will be taken between 2003 and 2005.
Rolls-Royce RB211-535 engines currently power 16 Boeing 757s operated by Air
2000.
