$432m of New Regional Jet Engine Orders

Rolls-Royce PLC 10 April 2000 ROLLS-ROYCE WINS $432 MILLION OF NEW REGIONAL JET ENGINE ORDERS Rolls-Royce today announced new AE 3007 engine business worth up to $432 million following an order for Embraer RJ 145 regional jets placed by Solitair Corporation. Solitair, which is majority owned by investment funds organized and managed by Wexford Management LLC, is converting 20 previous options into firm orders while also placing a new order for 15 firm aircraft and 45 additional options. This increases the total number of Rolls-Royce powered Embraer aircraft ordered by Solitair Corporation to 90 aircraft. Carmen Lloyd, President - Corporate and Regional Airlines and Airlines-North America, Rolls-Royce, said: 'We are extremely pleased to extend our relationship with Solitair, a major customer for the AE 3007 - powered ERJ 145. This order will significantly increase the aircraft's presence in the North American regional marketplace.' Some of the 50-passenger ERJ 145 aircraft will be operated by Indianapolis, based Chautauqua Airlines and other affiliates of Wexford management, which is based in Greenwich, CT. Rolls-Royce plc has now announced over two billion dollars of new orders this year.
