Cancellation of Warrants

                               NEWMEDIA SPARK plc


As at 6 July 2003, 90,599,007 NewMedia SPARK plc 75p warrants (Epic code: NMSW)
were in issue. Each warrant was convertible into one NewMedia SPARK plc ordinary
share of 2.5p upon payment of exercise price of 75p per share at any time
between 27 June 2000 and 6 July 2003.  As the exercise period has now elapsed,
the warrants have been cancelled and trading in the warrants ceased at close of
business on 8 July 2003.
