                NewMedia SPARK plc (the 'Company' or 'SPARK')

                        Annual General Meeting ('AGM')


SPARK announces that at the AGM of the Company held earlier today all the
resolutions were duly passed.

At the AGM, Thomas Teichman (Chairman of the Company) confirmed to
shareholders that the authority granted to the Company to disapply the
statutory pre-emption provisions would not be used by the Board of Directors
of SPARK otherwise than in accordance with guidelines of the Association of
British Insurers.
