                      MAURITANIA OFFSHORE DRILLING UPDATE

ROC advises that, as at midnight on 28 November 2005, Faucon-1, a wildcat
exploration well in Block 1, offshore Mauritania, was drilling ahead and had
reached a depth of 1,915 metres after setting 13-3/8 inch casing at a depth of
1,897 metres.

Faucon-1 has a planned total depth of 4,200 metres and is located in 1,164
metres of water in Block 1, 140 km south of the Woodside-operated Chinguetti
Field. The target reservoir at Faucon is a Cretaceous canyon complex sealed
against a salt dome.
