RM chosen as strategic supplier for Tesco schools programme

RM has been chosen by Tesco as strategic partner for the retailer's brand new voucher collection scheme which launches in 2009.

By merging its two highly successful voucher schemes into one bumper catalogue, the supermarket will offer schools and clubs much greater choice. RM previously supported both 'Computers for Schools' and 'Sport for Schools and Clubs' and will now be providing a wide range of products that will support many different areas of the curriculum.

The combined scheme is believed to be the largest promotion of its kind in the UK and will provide schools with curriculum resources and computer equipment worth millions of pounds.

Terry Sweeney, CEO Designate of RM, commented:

'It's great news that Tesco has selected us to work with them on their new combined scheme. I've been involved with Computers for Schools since we started working on it in 2000, and led our activity on the sports scheme last year. I look forward to helping Tesco make the combined scheme even more successful.'

Lucy Neville-Rolfe, Corporate and Legal Affairs Director of Tesco, said:

'We wanted to build on the success of our existing programmes by extending our support into others areas of the curriculum, such as health and art. Our enhanced voucher collection scheme will make it easier for schools and clubs to benefit from our programme, and we expect it will prove to be our most popular yet.'
