RM confirmed as ICT provider for Camden BSF programme

RM, the international education company, confirms that it has reached financial close on a £6.1m contract to provide ICT products and services for the London Borough of Camden's Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme. RM will provide the services as part of the BAM consortium, which has been appointed to deliver Camden's BSF programme. RM previously announced on 12 May 2010 that it was to be appointed preferred bidder for the contract.

Camden's BSF programme will renew three schools. RM will provide an innovative managed ICT service including Community Connect 4 networking, VOIP telephony, classroom & student computer systems, software, and day-to-day support & management. In addition, RM will provide a continuing professional development programme for school staff. Construction of the new schools will start this month, with the first school opening in June 2012.

Terry Sweeney, Chief Executive of RM, said:

"We are pleased to have reached the financial close stage on this exciting project. Working with our partners at BAM, and with educators in Camden, we're looking to create exciting learning environments, which help engage and motivate pupils in the Borough."
