RM appoints Rob Sirs to Group Board
RM plc, the UK's leading supplier of ICT and other services to education, has
appointed Rob Sirs as a Board Director. Rob has been Group Director - Products
and Services and a member of the Group's Executive Committee since 2002 and will
continue to take responsibility for the Group's product and service operations.
Rob Sirs (42) joined RM in 1990 as Production Manager. Since then he has
performed a number of senior manufacturing, operational and general management
roles, including Manufacturing Manager, PC Division Director and RM Schools
Managing Director. He was appointed to the role of Group Director - Products and
Services in 2002 as part of the Group's reorganisation when Tim Pearson took
over as CEO. Prior to RM, Rob worked for Andersen Consulting for two years and
Mars Electronics for four years.
Commenting on the appointment Tim Pearson, RM's CEO, said:
'Rob has been a key part of the senior management team that has worked with me
on RM's transition to a broadly-based education services company. He has made an
enormous contribution to RM over the last 13 years and the Group Board will gain
from both from his energy and drive and from his operational experience.'
There are no details that are required to be disclosed under paragraph 6.F.2 (b)
to (g) of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority
