Caldwell Investments P.L.C. announces that it has successfully completed a
placing of 800,000 Ordinary Shares of 10p each ('Shares') at a placing price of
51 pence per Share, which compared with a middle market price of 56 pence per
Share at the close of business on 7th July 2004.   The new Shares are expected
to be admitted to trade on 21st July 2004.


Mr. J. Posner, being a Director of the Company, has taken up 40,000 and now
holds 140,000 Shares (0.8%).


The Placing which has raised £408,000 before expenses, will provide additional
working capital for the Company and enable the Company to inaugurate it's
NinaSun canopy consumer marketing and promotional campaign for the Spring/Summer
Season 2005.
