After many years of successful association with RIT Capital Partners, Nils
Taube will be relinquishing his role as the principal investment adviser for
the quoted security element of RITCP's portfolio on 30th September 1999.

RITCP's subsidiary, J Rothschild Capital Management, will resume overall
responsibility for this part of the portfolio, of which £200 million has been
allocated to Sofaer Capital Inc.  Sofaer Capital is a long-established global
money management firm with which RITCP has had a long association.  Michael
Sofaer will join the board of RITCP as a non-executive director on 30th
September 1999.

Through the investment management agreements with Value Realisation Trust plc
and with J Rothschild Assurance, the relationship between Lord Rothschild's
interests and Nils Taube and Taube Hodson Stonex Partners will be maintained.
