Directorate Changes

 

RIT Capital Partners plc ("RIT") announces the following changes to the Board, effective 1 October 2013:

 

Mike Wilson has been appointed to the Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director and member of the Remuneration Committee. Mike is Joint Founder and Life President of St James's Place plc, the wealth management and financial services group, where he was Chief Executive from its establishment in 1992 until 2004, and Chairman from 2004 to 2011. Prior to founding St James's Place, Mike served on the Boards of Allied Dunbar and BAT Industries.

 

James Leigh-Pemberton, a Non-Executive Director since 2004, has stepped down from the Board following his appointment as Chief Executive of UK Financial Investments.

Additional disclosures relating to Mr Wilson, pursuant to the UKLA Listing Rules and Disclosure and Transparency Rules:

1.    Mr Wilson is not currently a director of any other publicly quoted companies.   In the past five years he served as a Director of St James's Place plc, a publicly quoted company, until December 2011.

2.    There are no details requiring disclosure under paragraphs 9.6.13 R (2) to (6) of the UKLA Listing Rules.

3.   Mr Wilson has no beneficial interest in the ordinary shares of the Company.
