Rio Tinto has today posted the following documents on its website at:

· Rio Tinto Limited 2011 Notice of annual general meeting
Rio Tinto plc has also today submitted these documents to the UK Listing Authority and they will be available for public inspection on the National Storage Mechanism (NSM).
Rio Tinto plc will hold its 2011 Annual general meeting in London on 14 April 2011 and Rio Tinto Limited will hold its Annual general meeting in Perth on 5 May 2011.
Rio Tinto will announce when its 2011 Annual report on Form 20-F has been filed with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission.
