BOARD CHANGE



Ricardo plc is the UK's leading independent automotive consultancy, employing
 over 1,400 people and has technical centres in the UK, USA, Germany and the
  Czech Republic.  The company's client list includes all the world's major
           OEMs. Ricardo is a constituent of the FTSE techMark 100.



Ricardo plc announces the resignation from the Board, with effect from 1st
January 2002, of John Needham on the grounds of ill-health. He has held the
position of Technical Director since 1st January 1999. The Board would like to
thank him for  his most valuable contribution to Ricardo.
