The Company was informed on 28 July 2003 by Standard Life Investments ("Standard
Life") that, on 27 July 2003, Standard Life sold 9,550 ordinary shares of 12.5p
each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") on behalf of Standard Life Group and, as
a result, now has an interest in 2,381,807 Ordinary Shares, representing 9.991
per cent. of the Company's issued ordinary share capital. This interest is
registered under Stanlife Nominees Limited.
