Simon Cloke appointed non-executive Director

The Board of The Restaurant Group plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Simon Cloke (42) as a non-executive Director. He will join the Board with immediate effect.

Mr Cloke is a Managing Director in the Corporate Advisory division of HSBC and is currently responsible for advising HSBC's house building and building materials clients.

Prior to joining HSBC in 2005, Mr Cloke was Global Head of Industrials within Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein's Corporate Finance division.

No information is required to be disclosed in respect of Simon Cloke pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13R (1) to (6).
