Employee Benefit Trust                                         

The Restaurant Group plc was advised on 13 June 2008 by the trustees of The Restaurant Group Employee Benefit Trust (the potential beneficiaries of the trust being certain of the employees of The Restaurant Group plc including directors and PDMRs of the Company) of the acquisition of 500,000 shares at a price of 125.5979p each on 13 June 2008. 

The Employee Benefit Trust now has a beneficial interest in 5,125,000 ordinary shares representing 2.6 per cent of the issued ordinary share capital of the Company.
