The Restaurant Group plc ('the Company') announces that Andrew Page, 
Chief Executive Officer, purchased 100,000 ordinary shares in the Company at 
140p per share on 12 March 2008.

Following this purchase Mr Page now holds 417,485 ordinary shares in the Company 
representing 0.21% of the issued share capital.
