The Restaurant Group plc ('the Company') announces that on Tuesday 3 April 2007,
Alan Jackson, a director, exercised options to subscribe for 200,000 ordinary
shares in the Company at 45p per share. He has then sold 200,000 shares at 369
pence per share.


Following these transactions, Mr Jackson's interest in the Company remains
unchanged at 370,198 ordinary shares.
