                    Reliance Security Group plc ('Reliance')
               Clarification of Record Date for Interim Dividend

Further to its interim results announcement released today, Reliance wishes to
clarify that the Record Date for the interim dividend will be 31 December 2004
and not 4 January 2005 as previously stated. The ex dividend date will therefore
now be 29 December 2004. The dividend payment date remains as 21 January 2005.
