                     Announcement of Board Change


The directors of Reliance Security Group plc announce that Ken Allison, a
director, the chairman of Reliance Security Services Limited and its former
managing director, has decided to retire on health grounds with effect from the
forthcoming Annual General Meeting on 7 September 2004,

Commenting, the Chairman, Brian Kingham. said:

'Ken will be greatly missed. Over the last eight years, he has made a huge
contribution in the leadership of Reliance and has been an inspiration in all
our major developments. He leaves our security services business in good hands,
following the appointment earlier this year of Nigel Forbes as its new managing
director.

We wish Ken the greatest happiness for a long and eventful retirement,'
