                       INTERIM MANAGEMENT STATEMENT FROM


                            1ST JANUARY 2008 TO DATE



Renishaw plc ('Renishaw' or 'the Group') issues this Interim Management
Statement in accordance with the UK Listing Authority's Disclosure and
Transparency Rules.



As anticipated in the recent half year report, performance of the Group
continues to remain strong with turnover ahead of the levels in the first half
of the year, despite competitive markets. We have resumed deliveries to a major
Japanese customer and interest in the REVO(TM) remains strong.


We confidently expect the profit before tax in the year to 30th June 2008 to
exceed our previous high achieved in financial year 2006 (£38.1m), partly aided
by the positive impact of currency exchange rate movements.
