Pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.14(2), Shanks Group Plc announces that its Chairman, Adrian Auer, will be appointed to the Board of AZ Electronic Materials SA ("AZ") as an independent non-executive director with effect from 4 May 2011, subject to prior shareholder approval being obtained at AZ's Annual General Meeting to be held on that date.
