HOLDINGS IN REDROW PLC

Redrow plc (the 'Company') received a confirmatory notification (the
'Notification') on 27 October 2005 from Bridgemere Securities Limited
('Bridgemere') that it is the beneficial owner of 13,685,155 shares (8.63%) in
the share capital of the Company.

The Notification corrects an earlier notification received by the Company on 25
August 2004 (which the Company duly disclosed) that those shares were
beneficially held by Stephen Peter Morgan.  The Notification confirms that
Stephen Peter Morgan is not the beneficial owner of Bridgemere although he does
have an interest in that company.
