HOLDING IN COMPANY





On 18 February 2005, Redrow plc received the following notification from
Castlemaine Investments Limited.



'Pursuant to the Companies Act, this is to confirm that on 17 December 2004, Mrs
P Morgan-Bell transferred her holding of 7,600,000 shares in Redrow plc to
Castlemaine Investments Limited, a company of which she is the sole beneficial
owner.  Further to sales carried out between 5 January and 8 February 2005,
Castlemaine Investments Limited now has a total shareholding of 3,800,000
shares, representing 2.38% of Redrow's issued share capital.  Castlemaine
Investments Limited no longer has a notifiable interest.'
