HOLDING IN COMPANY



Redrow plc ('the Company') received notification on 25 August 2004 that Steve
Morgan was the beneficial owner of 13,685,155 (8.63%) of the share capital of
Redrow plc.  The Company has been advised that the reduction in holding below
9.0% follows the satisfaction of Steve Morgan's obligations in respect of share
options granted by him to the management team of the Company in June 2001 which
have been exercised.
