DIRECTOR SHAREHOLDING


Redrow plc ('Redrow') was advised on 11th July 2005 that Colin Lewis (a director
of Redrow) had exercised on 8th July 2005 an option to acquire 38,794 Redrow 10p
ordinary shares under Redrow's Long Term Share Incentive Plan of 2001.  He
subsequently sold on the same day, 18,013 Redrow ordinary shares, principally to
satisfy the tax liabilities following exercise of the option.  The net result of
these transactions is to increase his beneficial holding in Redrow to 48,377
shares.
