Redrow plc ('the Company') - Non Executive Deputy Chairman

As previously announced on 20 March 2009, Alan Bowkett steps down from his role as Chairman of the board of Redrow plc ('Redrow' or 'the Company') on 30th June, to be succeeded by Steve Morgan, acting in an executive capacity.

Redrow's independent Nominations Committee is continuing with the search for an appropriately qualified candidate to take on the role of non-executive Deputy Chairman and Senior Independent Director.  In the meantime, the role of Deputy Chairman will be undertaken by Denise Jagger, who has been a non-executive Director since January 2007.  Malcolm King is the current Senior Independent Director.

Redrow will provide an update on the process when appropriate.  The Company will be making a pre-close statement on 9th July 2009.
