Statement re Share Price Movement

Reece plc (the 'Company')

The Company has noted the recent rise in its share price
and, further to the announcement released on 24 November
1999, confirms that discussions regarding the disposal of
two of its divisions are continuing.  The Company is not
aware of any other reason for the rise in its share price.
