Real Estate Investors PLC 31 August 2004 REAL ESTATE INVESTORS PLC ("REI" or "the Company") Share placing and fundraising REI, the commercial property investment company headed by Peter Lewin, the founder and former chief executive of Newport Holdings PLC, announces that it has successfully raised £504,000 (before expenses) through a placing of 4,200,000 ordinary shares by Seymour Pierce Ellis Limited, the Company's broker. The shares have been placed at 12p. Application will be made for the new ordinary shares to be admitted to AIM and trading is expected to commence on 6 September 2004. REI raised approximately £2.3 million at the time of its flotation, in June, 2004. REI focuses on the acquisition of medium sized commercial property interests and assets which have strong investment potential and are diversified by type, geographic location and tenant. Commenting on the placing Peter Lewin, CEO of REI, said: "It is a great endorsement of our strategy that a number of new investors have bought into REI so soon after our flotation placing and at a significant premium to the flotation placing price."
