Holding in the Company

The Company was notified yesterday that, on 31 January 2005, Panther Securities
PLC ("Panther") purchased 950,000 ordinary shares in REI, representing 2.51% of
the issued ordinary share capital. Eurocity Properties PLC ("Eurocity"), which
is a wholly owned subsidiary of Panther, currently owns 3.25 million ordinary
shares in REI, representing 8.59% of the issued ordinary share capital of the
Company.

The combined shareholding of Panther and Eurocity is 4.2 million ordinary
shares, representing 11.1% of the issued ordinary share capital in REI.
