Notifiable Interest

The Company received notification on 16 January 2007 that Caledonia Investments
plc ("Caledonia") had an interest in 34,625,000 ordinary shares of 1p each in
REI ("Ordinary Shares") as at 16 January 2007.  This is equivalent to 10.16% of
the Company's issued share capital. The Cayzer Trust Company Limited, a
substantial shareholder in Caledonia, is also deemed to be interested in these
Ordinary Shares.
