Interim Results - Correction

                                   CORRECTION

With reference to the announcement of its interim results this morning, Trinity
Mirror plc wishes to correct the record date for the payment of its interim
dividend. The dividend will be paid on 1st November 2004 to those shareholders
on the register on 8th October 2004 rather than on 3rd October as stated in the
announcement.
