The directors of R.E.A. Holdings plc ('the company') are pleased to announce
that the company will be recommencing the payment of dividends on its 9%
cumulative preference shares of £1 ('preference shares') with effect from 31
December 2003 with a dividend on that date equal to the semi-annual dividend
then falling due.

Details of the dividend payment on the preference shares are as follows:
