Ruukki continues a heavyweight series of deliveries for challenging
construction projects. The latest partnership agreement is for
deliveries for a new theatre and concert hall in Sørlandet, in the
southern Norwegian city of Kristiansand. The contract is worth around
EUR 2.5 million. Ruukki is responsible for workshop design and
delivery, including installation, of the frame structures.

in customised design and construction. Architecturally complex

The theatre and concert hall is being built by one of Norway's
leading contractor and industry groups, AF Gruppen, and the architect
is the Helsinki-based Finnish architecture office ALA. Ruukki's work
in the project will begin in the autumn.

Ruukki has earlier taken part in the design and delivery of a number
of similar projects in the Nordic countries: the new Oslo Opera house
and Kolbotn cultural centre in Norway, and Gävle Concert Hall and
Uppsala Konsert & Kongress building in Sweden. Ruukki is currently
also taking part in the Stockholm Waterfront Congress Centre project
in Sweden.
